"Mindfulness practice is my well at the top of a hill. Getting there every day is hard work, but once the trip is made, I live with greater ease."

Gail Silver is the author of the Anh’s Anger children’s books (Parallax Press). The trilogy includes Anh’s Anger, (winner of the 2010 Skipping Stones award for multicultural awareness), Steps and Stones, (nominated for the 2012 Bill Martin Jr. Picture Book Award), and Peace, Bugs, and Understanding, December 2014.  Lauded by Publisher’s Weekly as “a winning series,” Anh’s Anger has been and continues to be a best seller for Parallax Press. Gail is also a screenwriter, having collaborated with international production company, Peace Is The Way Films, to write the animated film Planting Seeds, The Power of Mindfulness, a story based on the teachings of Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh. When she is not writing, practicing mindfulness, or cleaning things which will inevitably just need to be cleaned again the next day, Gail enjoys her position as the director of Yoga Child, Inc., a Philadelphia based company, which she founded in 2001 to provide her specialized yoga and mindfulness curriculum to children in Philadelphia based schools. As director of Yoga Child Gail looks forward to facilitating the annual Yoga Child Teacher Training program, (held in Philadelphia) in which she teaches interested adults, practitioners, and aspiring practitioners how to teach yoga and mindfulness to children.  Gail has traveled nationally and internationally to share her work, her books, and to facilitate mindfulness based educational conferences. Prior to immersing herself in yoga and writing, Gail was an attorney, specializing in children’s advocacy law. Gail lives and breathes (sometimes with ease)  alongside her husband, three children and one very unpredictable cat.
